Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are aimed at young people and involve working and training with an employer and studying for other qualifications with a training provider. They last between 1-5 years depending upon the type of apprenticeship and employment. They lead to NVQs, Key Skills qualifications and, in most cases, a technical certficate. You can follow a Young Apprenticeship (14-16), Apprenticeship (16-25), Advanced Apprenticeship (16-25) or Programme Led Apprenticeship (16-25). If you want to apply for an apprenticeship follow the link above to Apprenticeship Vacancies Online (AVOL). You can also contact training providers who offer apprenticeships through the area wide prospectus but you will not find apprenticeship vacancies advertised there.
